It's been a while but the lighter strings were probably the "extra light" 10-47 D'Addarios--I was still using '9s on my electric back then. I hadn't thought about it just needing a truss rod tweak, but it didn't matter anyway because the sound/volume suffered too much with the lighter strings....it really sounds great with '12s.
