Axl Rose singing with ACDC?

Well this across the wire today, Axl Rose may fill on for the hearing impaired Brian Johnson.

I saw ACDC open for Kiss in 77 or 78 and those guys were young and full of piss and vinegar and I loved it. Bon Scott was amazing. Brian Johnson has filled in as well or better than someone trying to fill huge shoes. Axl Rose could be entertaining but will be kind of karaoke to me. Here are clips to compare.

After Malcolm Young retiring, Brian Johnson stepping aside, Phil Rudd having all sorts of issues I'm with Kf ... probably time to pull the plug.

After Bon Scott the band deliberately went looking for someone relatively unknown internationally and I think they'd be better served if they did the same this time.

Maybe they could put another call in to Jimmy Barnes who they invited to audition back them but who withdrew in favour of his own band Cold Chisel ... although it seems with advancing years Jimmy might be having a bit of trouble remembering the lyrics to his own songs so not sure how he'd go with a couple of hours of someone elses.

I'd much rather they retire. Brian Johnson is an unbelievably good vocalist who pulled off one of the hardest things for a singer to do in replacing someone like Bon Scott. Quit while they still have the choice to do it with dignity. They should take a lesson from Steve Tyler, who has lost that option by 'going country' in the most tasteless way!

I agree, they need to retire the band. They won the lottery finding Brian Johnson to replace the irreplaceable . The real blow was losing Malcolm . All that raw power in those riffs was him.

I agree with glvourot. Malcolm was the lynchpin and AC/DC haven't been the same since he left. My son is a massive AC/DC and G'n'R fan and he's been strolling around the house singing 'drrrty deeds dern drrt cheap' in Axl's American drawl, much to my amusement. They'll sound like a second rate AC/DC cover band.

I just hope that Axl doesn't blow what little hope he's gained out of Slash recently!! It's only took.. 25 years?!?
