Does anyone tried install it on a Fender Telecaster (MIA/USA/Japan/Squier)?
Is it possible?

Tks!

Sorry guys, just checked this thread is on the wrong section.
Admin, could you please move it to the appropriate section (maybe tech tips?)

Thank you and sorry for my lack of attention.

I suppose anything is possible if you have enough money and desire...

But the box bridge on a tele is the mounting for the pickup, so...how would you mount it with a Saddle Lock? :shocked028: And my understanding is that the Saddle Lock requires some routing.

It would be a WHOLE lot simpler to buy a G&L in the first place. :happy0065:

Maybe using a new pickguard that would cover bridge pickup hole and also cut to fit?

Actually you did post it in the G&L Knowledgebase, G&L Tech Tips sub-forum and I moved it here.
You are asking about installing a G&L part on a non-G&L guitar, so I feel that this is the more appropriate sub-forum.

Francis Rossi of Status Quo did that in 1995, so yes you can.
Besides Fender making replicas (w/ saddle-lock) Tony Rockett has hand-made ones to offer but he also details on how to DIY your own.

And what would be the benefit of doing this? What is the end goal?
